Although you may have come to the Roaring Fork Valley to fish miles of Gold Medal waters while your friends or loved one participates in our spinning events, we strongly encourage you to consider riding a bicycle to ease your movement between fishing holes. This action can be rather enjoyable and will help minimize the vehicle traffic on the roads. Combining cycling with your adept angling skills is what we call the perfect way to “Spin and Grin”. Just remember, this is catch and release territory so you will have no worries about carrying the fish while balancing on your bicycle!

All anglers traveling on bicycles are welcomed to come grap some refreshments on Friday at Lion's Park in downtown Basalt between 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM. Just follow the Fryingpan Road down until you see a red caboose. This location serves as the aid station to the
road cyclists who are participating in the day's distance riding events. You can be assured that there will be plenty of people around who may want to hear about your day's catch.
