Several important initiatives are affiliated with the Spin Sports Festival. These organizations have a dramatic impact on the community and would appreciate your support. You will be given the opportunity to make a direct contribution to their efforts with no administration fees when registering for our festival.

• The primary goal of the Spinhead Foundation is to increase bicycle safely through the production and placement of effective signage along traffic routes to indicate that a bicycle event is taking place. Our next major step is to design and produce the SPINHEADTM Safety Alert Signage in an effective form that is more cost-effective and readily available for tours, races and other special events involving motorized vehicles.

• The Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Club impacts over 2,200 families throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. Getting and keeping kids participating in winter sports through the teenage years has been proven very successful in terms personal development.Family support and the constant presence of skilled mentors has a dramatic impact on the way these youths are able to handle and overcoome the many challenges presented by idle peers.

• Additional efforts are being made to evaluate and modify surfaces, including the revision of construction practices for wider roads, curb cuts, and adjacent paths. Local areas of concern include the initiatives of the Independence Pass Foundation and the study of the Fryingpan Road to determine what improvements can be made to make sharing the road both easier and safer.
